| Record of the Year – “Bound to You”Record of the Year – “Moves like Jagger”Song of the Year – “Bound to You”Best Pop Vocal Performance – “Bound to You”Best Pop Performance by a Duo/Group – “Moves like Jagger” Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media – “Burlesque”Best Song Written for Visual Media – “Bound to You”Source: http://xtina-web.com/2011/10/christina-aguileras-grammy-submissions.html ====================================== I'm a little confused here. Stupid question Are these songs that are gonna be submitted to the grammys, and then whoever decides whether or not they are 'good enough' for a grammy, then they'd compete with others in that category? \ | |

| yes, every year a label submits songs from their artists to the Grammys, then the grammy comitee decides which songs are going to be nominated. It's not really about "good songs" though because that's really subjective, you may think Christina releases the greatest music in the industry but others may find it boring or mediocre. I'd say it's more about popularity and relevancy. I don't blame them, they need ratings and people are not going to tune in to see a bunch of not relevant singers that the comitee considered "artistic" or "good".
But anyway, back to Christina submissions. I think Moves Like Jagger nominations are highly possible. I think it has a lot of chances of winning Best Pop Performance by a Duo, I'm not sure about Record of the Year, I think it's clear Adele will be taking them all. Bound to you is a delusional submission imo specially when it was not even a single. It's really random lol

| Burlesque better win something because let me tell you its a DAMN SHAME that a movie like Burlesque wasnt even a nomination for any category at the mtv movie awards. even though its a MOVIE WITH MUSIC IN IT! and two big stars that have helped MTV build itself to be as successful as it is today and yet they had the freaking Twighlight crap in every awards show and every category. seriously?
Oh well MTV is so stupid anymore. Burlesque needs to win a grammy.
