What do you all think Christina's next move should be after she's completed "The Voice"?

Personally, I think she needs to get her butt in gear and start on her next album while still being "in the spotlight" a little bit. I'll be very upset if it takes another 3-4 years for another album

Dissappear completely for about 6 months. Try to get as less photographed as she can when she goes out. Record her new album during that time, a commercial album but still something that sounds fresh not the same electro pop tired sound. Personally I think Christina's voice on Rihanna's LOUD album would've been kick ass. Present her new single/look at some popular/relevant show. Her new look should be more natural/toned down imo because it makes her beauty shine more or if she still wants to rock a drag make up (since she loves make up) EXPERIMENT with it, try different colors, something that makes people notice you. KGBtina had heavy make up most of the time too but at least it was different, she had purple, pink, red and her clothes were fun to the point she even rocked a blue wig for the first time in her career. STOP with the red and black shades that are so fucking boring and tasteless. New hair color. Oh & please don't rehearse your interviews or recycle lines. It's not cute. I prefer her to be bitchy but at least have an attitude. Watching a Christina interview is SO predictable nowadays. "come full circle" "me and the boys" "i feel so sexy naked" "i've grown up as an artist, as a person" "as women we do it all" "whatnot..." lol so tired of those default lines.
The last thing I want is more connection with her fans.

Next move? Hmm...well, who knows how long this show will last...it could have a lot of seasons...maybe it'll only have one.

If it DOES have more seasons, which I'd be happy of course, I would be pissed at the same time 'cause I'm sure she's not writing anything at the moment 'cause of the show.

You guys should know that I adore the Back to Basics Era. Everything about it, it was just wonderful. It made me fall in love with Christina. Razz Seriously though, the costumes, her makeup, her hairstyles, the music, it was heaven for me. And it still is. It's my favorite album by her so far.

I don't want to see anymore Bionic stuff...yeah, it was a good album, but in my opinion, it wasn't her best. Yes, I'm sure she did this because this what all the girls are doing these days, like Gaga, Rihanna and Katy...you know, I don't want her to do that, there's enough of this electro pop crap around, I want different stuff. You know, I really loved KGB. That's the kind of electro pop I want...not really like Bionic. I actually heard KGB on the radio...I didn't hear NMT or YLM on the radios here. Sad Sure, there were some good songs on Bionic and some not so good ones but I don't like it the more I listen to it.

And I don't really want another Stripped. Yeah, it's 2nd favorite. I mean, yeah, there are some really great songs, like 'Beautiful', which saved me in a lot of ways. But I kind of don't want to see more of this.

And Christina isn't really the type of person that will do the same thing over and over again. She loves to reinvent herself with every album and era. But I would love to see a B2B-esque album. I love how Christina sang old songs in Burlesque. I would love to see her make songs like that and sing them...maybe even cover some old songs.

And look at how popular Candyman and ANOM were...they were still old style in a way but she made them upbeat and new.

But yeah, I hope she goes into the B2B era next time and scratches the "Stripped 2.0" idea...unless, she combined them and made a Stripped/B2B album then I'd be really psyched.

I'm gonna stop rambling now before my fingers fall off. flower

Unpopular opinion time:

She needs to stop re-inventing herself every era. Find a genre and RUN with it! She would kill it if she did another B2B style album, she was born to sing that. I just feel like she alienates people (besides the hardcore fans) every time she does something different. If she wants a successful era, she'll have to find a permanent niche to keep the public interested. Don't get me wrong, she could throw in songs of a different style here & there, but the combination of releasing an album every four years and completely changing your genre isn't working anymore.

And Aless, I LOLed at the interview part. I CAN'T.

ia that she needs to stop with the personas but I think what makes Christina insteresting for me is her constant changing in her music. There's a few singers that can compete with Christina vocally and do that style forever but I don't stan for them because they don't have that "thing" Christina has.
But I wouldn't mind B2B part III tbh.

I think Christina looks up to the artists who did in ways reinvent themselves with each album such as madonna, michael jackson, ect. I think she wants to be able to do what they did and one day have that same amount of respect and statements being made about her that are made about them. and thats FINE if thats how she wants to do it but other than stripped, none of these reinventions have been completly successful. B2B had a great idea but like I have said before, she rocked the look and feel so long that by the time the era hit it was old news and she did nothing to change it up but still keep the same old school look which baffles me considering the canceled tour shoot and how she looked like a zillion different women but still kept the same christina spice for it all. Then she rushed into tour before the era even had a chance to take off and get popular.

then My GOD I cannot stress enough how she took the easy and lazy road with Bionic. OMG are you fucking serious christina? you stood up there and talked about how the future was boundless and so therefore there was no limitations on your next sound and look, but then your idea of a boundless future is you back in the red lipstick, curly hair and bondage music video? REALLY? I hate to compare to gaga but look at all the cracked out stuff she wears and does and no matter how weird it is its not too weird for the general public to still love her to death and her to be successful. So really Christina you get the chance to work with Alix Malka, (someone FAMOUS for their abstract artistic high fashion our of the box photography) and the bionic shoot is the best you can come up with?

I cannot stress enough that if she truly wants to reinvent herself thats fine but if shes gonna do it that way then dont do it half ass. its the half ass part that makes it boring and makes it hard to keep fans. If your not gonna do it full on and take it seriously and really try then just be yourself like everyone said. Just tone down the makeup, sing what you sing best and keep your regular fan base happy. Britney fans dont expect her to switch genres but they still love every album and stay loyal. so its not the end of the world even if she does just put out "christina music" for every album and stick to a way that works.

And then the people who complained about her reinventing herself will say she's gone stale and think she should do something different.

i think christina really needs to take advantage of being in the public eye so much with the voice and use it to her advantage as a promo tool and before the show ends she needs to at least release a new single. maybe use the finally to premiere the single live or something

i LOVE the reinventing and i hope she continues to do it. to me its what separates her apart from the rest of the women in the industry. she is not just a one trick pony. christina kills the old soul stuff and i loved back to basics and burlesque but i would get so bored if she just did that over and over again just because it works for her. thats playing it safe and i don't like artists who do that

I agree with most of you, she needs to aliniate.. find her own sound, change style of clothes/make-up.

She can't take years to release a new album.. like I said on another thread, I believe she's VERY inspired now that she's part of the voice, watching so much talent on that show must have had a good impact on her and her music.
It's really hard to tell if she'd be commercially succesful at this point, the charts have changed so much, what do people want to hear? that's a question I've been making to mysefl lately. What I'm really sure of is that she needs to change it up and stay true to her style.
