| Christina Aguilera to Leave Prints in ‘Gay Walk of Fame’ April 4, 2011
The Abbey has been undergoing numerous renovations, which will debut on Wednesday night with what may become a lasting, historical West Hollywood landmark… a Gay Walk of Fame.
Inspired by old Hollywood traditions, Christina Aguilera will join The Abbey’s Founder, David Cooley in placing her hands and feet in cement that will live on forever at The Abbey. Aguilera is being honored for her “contributions to Gay culture.”
After months of extensive renovations, The Abbey is ready to debut its new look on Wednesday. The renovations include a sunken dance floor surrounded by VIP booths, a sleek DJ platform, a state-of-the-art audio and video system, new bars, improved movement throughout the space, upgraded bathroom facilities and a larger kitchen space to accommodate The Abbey’s new menu.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 20. A VIP Venue Preview Event will be held at 6PM, followed by the “General Public Premiere” of the renovations at 8PM. The Gay Walk of Fame ceremony will take place at 10PM.
