| I know I started a topic like this on the old Remix forum but since I see a few new faces I felt like starting it here. As we all know, Christina loves changing it up and doing different things...she's been doing that for as long as I can remember. So, what's your favorite era? For the guys that know me, you're probably going to know what I'm going to say for my favorite but my favorite era is: Back to Basics! This era made me fall in love with Christina. Just everything about this era was magic. Everything she wore...all of those costumes from the B2B Tour...ugh...they were so wonderful. Every single one. And even when she was out and about she always wore the cutest things. I also really loved how she had her hair...the Marilyn Monroe look was amazing on her and I hope she eventually goes back to it. 'Cause I'm not really into her look now. Also, the music was divine. I really hope she goes back and does an album like B2B. I know it's all I talk about but I really want to see this again. Her voice is meant for the soulful and blues tracks. I don't care if she writes new songs or even maybe puts out a cover CD...well, new CD first then maybe a cover one but I absolutely loved Christina covering the Etta James songs in Burlesque. Haha. I'm done now. But Back to Basics takes the cake for me. But I would like to hear what you guys have to say. | |

| Back to Basics by a mile. She was at the top of her game there. She had love from the media, the critics and the public. There was not one look I din't like. she looked amazing all the time and her body was banging. The album is my favorite of all time, it is just perfection. Not to mention the best performances of her career belonged to Baby Jane, including IAMMMW. She looked happy, she WAS happy, not a btchy, bitter mess like X-tina, sorry X-tina stans (but at least she was far more interesting than Currentina tbqh). So yeah Back to Basics was the best era Christina's had & will EVER have imo. | |

| See I fell in love with Christina during the stripped era....but....I do think B2B was a good time for her lol. I also loved the looks, she was so elegant and completely different to the Christina we see nowadays I think. The tour was amazing too and all the songs so yeah I would probs say B2B was my fav era too | |

| Yeah, I'm gonna ruin it and say Stripped. And I'm being serious, not just being mean.. Stripped was THE album that saved my life. Nothing can ever top that. For a bit there I thought Bionic was gonna be my favorite, but it was ruined about 2 weeks after promo. | |

LOL seriously. I was a fickle mess when Bionic came out. I even dared to say it was better than B2B for God's sake Just no. Aww. Hopefully with this new album, Christina won't break our hearts again...I wouldn't say that she broke mine...but, I kind of was let down in a way. She made it seem SOOOOO great and all of a sudden, poof.

| I feel Stripped era was her best not only on a personal level and what the album meant to me and how it helped me become the confident person I am today. But also on a proffessional level I feel it was her best executed era. B2B was very rushed, tour dates were announced just months after the album came out and the tour cut short because of pregnancy. I feel it could have had more singles and could have done better on the charts.
Stripped was executed nearly perfect. The timeline from the single releases, the promotions, the style and the music fitting into what was currently the hot trend at the time with peers like Justin, Alicia & more. I really felt the promotion cycle was planned perfectly and it was very successful for her on many levels and lasted a long time before it came to a lovely end. I really hope she and her team can stop being so dumb and try to replicate that sort of timeline and strategy with all new material next time around.

| STRIPPEDSTRIPPEDSTRIPPEDSTRIPPED!!!! cos she was everywhere back then doing so much promo and obviously, i loved that. i love all the photoshoots from back then, and Stripped is my fav album. i had no life back then, i slept, ate, breathed, LIVED for Christina sounds sad, i know. LOL, memory: in school at the time, in computer class we were meant to be doing an assignment and printing it, but of course, i was on Christina's website (cos i didn't have internet at home back then) printing out pictures of her to stick to the covers of my schoolbooks and not just any pictures, racy ones, you know the ones from Maxim and all those shoots?! so a guy from my class comes over like "whatcha doing?" sees what i'm printing and is like "what the hell are you doing?!!! YOU FREAK!" he was legit freaked out by me and from that day on he called me 'Christina freak'. i didn't mind that nickname tbh | |

That is an era...a very short era...that I would've liked to see more of to be quite honest. It was better than the Bionic era.

| Yeah KGB the mini era it was, was very hot. I did not like that she lipped her VMA performance but she looked so hot that night and the target commercial was >>>>>> KGB video but those points aside I loved KGB look and idea behind it. I was kinda sad that Bionic didn't have a little of that comic book, popart feel to it like she said it would. | |

Oh my god. That VMA performance. I got so freaking upset and I vowed I wasn't gonna listen to Christina again. I was sitting in my room crying when she was performing. I was like WHY IS SHE DOING THIS? But I can't give up listening to Christina. She honestly doesn't need to lipsync so she better not do it. And I agree about what Aless said about Bionic. I think it could've been much better...I don't know, it all seemed rushed to me.

And I agree about what Aless said about Bionic. I think it could've been much better...I don't know, it all seemed rushed to me. That's the sad part is that it took 4 years to come out after B2B, yet it still sounded/looked rushed. That's NOT good. After 4 years, she should have had her *beep* together, instead she came out with something half done. I agree. I mean, I thought The Voice was gonna be a bad idea, because of how she probably wouldn't be working on the album, although I love the show, I mean, I get to see Christina every week and I really like the concept of it, haha. But honestly, I have a feeling it's gonna happen again...that rushed feeling...I'm sure it'll be 2014 before a new album...or 2025 maybe. I'm not even sure but I hope she works quicker on this one.

| Yeah it costs to do promo but if executed properly can in the long run bring more success and profit to not only christina but her label and management. With Stripped era, Xtina was EVERYWHERE. there were constant specials, appearances, performances and more. Between the shocking new look and her well executed promotion and strategy, it was able to keep Stripped still making money and attention well into 2004. Her and Justins tour was like the biggest that year and with B2B it felt rushed and also felt old. she had been rocking the baby jane look for so long prior to it, and didnt do as much as she could have to cash in on the many looks of those eras. I will never understand why understand was not a single i felt it would have been so much more successful than hurt and really could have kept the ball in motion. The Tour was amazing, i give her that. B2B tour much better than stripped tour but again so rushed that people didnt have time to even get familiar with b2b or the new era before tickets went on sale. | |

| Hopefully this next one will be really great and well executed and well promoted. I'm sure it's asking for a lot...but let's hope we see that with this new album. | |

| last year was when I became a fan of hers. Her Candymam video was showing on MTV and I quickly went "the singer I was looking for!" I mostly listen to the oldies despite my young age so it was very awesome for me! A current blond hotty who does this Pop meets Blues/soul! My dream ya B2B is my favorite era of hers..I wish she could have released 1 more album from that era | |
