TOUR Q&A Empty
PostSubject: TOUR Q&A   TOUR Q&A Icon_minitimeThu Aug 25, 2011 3:34 pm

Here at Royal Glamour, we are dedicated to also bringing you the best Tour advice, tips & answers. The Administrators here are trained in the knowledge of Christina Aguilera tours and can take your questions at any time.

In the meantime here is a general FAQ for you to read over.

When is the Bionic Tour scheduled to take place?

The Bionic World Tour was postponed in Spring of 2010 & was said to be rescheduled for 2011. (Please see news for more details) However, due to the recent interviews that have taken place with Christina, her statements regarding the Bionic album and era seem to allude to it being finished. Although we have no official flat out confirmation, all signs seem to point to NO TOUR. According to her she is back in the studio and looking forward to the next chapter in her life. So it is now believed by many that a 2011 tour will not be taking place. CTC will keep you posted if any changes to this occur. However at this point although we recommend you keep your tour savings for the future, we also ask hopes do not get put up too high. It looks more as though we are getting a new album and era instead. This may be the best thing for all involved. Any attempt to revive Bionic at this point and try to sell tickets for a flopped album, may be hit or miss in terms of success. It is probably regarded wiser in the eyes of Aguilera and her label to come out with something fresh, rebuild the fan community and connections and then tour after a properly promoted era with all new music.

Why are tickets on one site different prices than another site?

Ticket resale is the act of reselling tickets for admission to events. Tickets are bought from licensed sellers and are then sold for a price determined by the individual or company in possession of the tickets. Tickets sold through secondary sources may be sold for less or more than their face value depending on demand, which itself tends to vary as the event date approaches.

How can I get pre-sale access to buy tickets?

Pre-sales for the postponed bionic world tour were issued via the purchase of the bionic pre-order fan edition package. Codes were emailed after box set was purchased and instructions on which dates and times they would be honored were given. At this time we do not know rather fans who purchased the box set will be given a new code for the tour or if a new system in which to get pre-sales will be implemented. But when pre-sale information is available it will be posted in the tickets and news sections.

Are Pre-sale codes good for VIP packages too?

Unfortunately no. Initial US tour date VIP packages had no pre-sale and pre-sale codes were not applicable for VIP packages. Rather this will change once the Bionic Tour is rescheduled, is not known.

Why is pre-order bionic box set not available in my country?

According to the rules and policies of this offer: VOID WHERE PROHIBITED
Although this website is accessible worldwide, not all products or services discussed or referenced on this website are available to all persons or in all geographic locations. It basically comes down to the laws/legislation of your particular country and is nothing to do with the label or management.

Will Pre-sales/VIP/ other special promotions be offered for tour in other countries besides the USA?

At this time we cannot confirm what will or wont be made available for tour dates outside the USA. It goes without saying RCA/Christina will most likely do their best to promote and arrange special packages and pre-sales for all countries of the tour. But they must operate within the laws they are bound to when offering such promotions. As more details on the global tour outside the US becomes available it will be posted here at CTC. Check back Often

How can I get Christina to come to my country?

Unfortunately, Christina can never visit all her fans in one single tour, as much as she would love to. She has made a point with each tour to try to go to countries that she has not been to before or not been to for a long period. I know it seems unfair when the bulk of the tour gets to be the bigger countries but you have to understand that many factors come into tour scheduling. The reason Christina does a bulk in bigger countries is because of the targeted profit they know it will bring because they have found success with these countries in the past. So this is why she usually tackles UK and USA first. Then it all comes down to what is doable and what is profitable for them to arrange. You have to remember. To bring a show to each stop is not magic. It requires money. They have to spend money to make money. If they intend to make money as any business does, they unfortunately cant go every place in the world every tour. Christina, I am sure would LOVE to visit every city, perform every night, sign every autograph and meet every fan. Unfortunately its not possible. So she does her best to ensure he management is at least trying to balance it out by going to countries she doesn’t get to do often. The best CTC can advise is to register for her Official Forums. There is a thread there where fans can give shout outs and request Christina visits their country. Also you can e-mail Christina at christina@aperadio.com and on her official site www.christinaaguilera.com there is a link to leave feedback for the label. These are the only ways we know of to express your desire for Christina to come to your country. Hang in there, and keep checking back often for additional dates to be added to the bionic 2010 tour.

What is the difference between Ticket Brokering and Ticket Scalping?

Registered businesses reselling tickets to popular events are bound by laws, such as local and state laws in the United States, and must operate within those laws to maintain their status as a legitimate business. Scalpers, however, there are no restrictions on how much ticket prices can be marked up. Ticket Scalpers sometimes resell tickets on the Internet such as ebay, craigslist ect. But they also can be found sometimes outside of venues and on streets attempting to sell as well.

What is the difference between Reserved floor and seating? Which one is better?

Reserved floor is physically closer to the stage, but some people prefer floor seating or a level 1 or 2 seat because they are higher up and can view the center stage better.

How can I get front row tickets to Christina?

Its not easy. Its doubtful even with pre-sale access you will find front row or even anywhere in the first 10 rows through regular tickets on Live Nation. What is more likely to happen is you seeing them for sale via other ticket brokers. Ticket brokers sometimes get their hands on tickets within the first few rows and sell them at inflated prices. Front row tickets through these ticket brokers average between 900 and 3000 USD. The other option and a much better one, is to wait and see if front row tickets are auctioned for charity. For the past few tours Christina has auctioned front row tickets (usually also containing VIP package or M&G or both) The ending bids average between 1000-3000 dollars BUT rather than paying around the same figure to a ticket broker you would be donating to a good cause and still getting the same quality seat. and again these charity auctions usually also include more than just a front row seat. The initial Bionic Tour before postponed offered a Diamond VIP Package that included a guaranteed front row and M&G along with the other usual goodies.

How much do Christina Aguilera tickets cost?

Prices will vary according to venue, artist, location opening act and many other factors. The prices listed on Ticket Master for the initial Bionic tour prior to being postponed were on average is US $29.50 – US $231.00. Now once Ticket Brokers start their sales too, they can sell tickets at less or more than face value but most of the time more. Ticker Broker sites ball park so far looks between $50.00 and $1,500.00 USD. VIP Packages were $495.00 -795.00. But we do not recommend you solidify these prices as a guaranteed, determined price. The Bionic Tour was only postponed, HOWEVER that means the tour will have to be rescheduled which may result in different venues, different areas, different economic status as of 2011, so prices may differ. These prices are only meant to serve as an idea.

Will the BIONIC tour be scheduled as originally planned?

All signs would point to NO. You should not expect the same exact tour and venues and stops. #1, the tour now needs to be rescheduled and therefore she may be able to reschedule some of the venues but not all. It will all depend on availability and rather or not the venue now suits the size and type of show, which leads me to #2. One thing many fans noticed about the originally scheduled Bionic Tour was that it was mostly amphitheaters and smaller venues and not many stops considering a full on global tour. Christina herself mentioned in her statement regarding the tour postponement is that she doesn’t feel she had enough time to prepare a show of the caliber she would want to present to her fans. Perhaps in the rescheduling we can expect larger venues and more stops in order to provide an even bigger and better show than what was initially planned.

Will I be refunded in the event that Christina cancels a tour/show?

You should be entitled to a full refund in the event that a show or tour is cancelled. But, Always ALWAYS read and understand return policies from anyone you plan to buy tickets from and read up on customer service. This goes for when you buy from the box office to when you buy from a reseller on ebay. NEVER buy something without being full aware of ticket refund policies. If you cannot find the policies on the sellers site contact them immediately to ask and get something in writing. In most cases as long as you are buying tickets directly from the site that’s originally selling them, or a legitimate ticket broker with refund policies and customer feedback you should not have to worry. But still just to buy smarter, always check on refund policies for anything you purchase.

I heard horror stories about fans losing money on a Christina tour from buying VIP packages. How can I ensure this does not happen to me?

The sites you hear are regarding the case of FansRule, a company that ran Christina’s fan club during the Stripped era. What happened was Fanrule filed and declared bankruptcy in the fall of 2003. The summer tour that was planned for 2004, they and RCA felt they could continue doing business as long as all new monies went into a separate account and they didn’t get further into debt. The tour was cancelled due to Christina’s vocal strain and Fansrule did not have the money to refund at that time. They parted ways, owing Christina and many of her fans money. Christina’s company took them to court to ensure that the fans were the first to be paid back. It took several years for the company to liquidate assets and accumulate the money to repay the fans. In Summer/Fall of 2007, fans were finally refunded their full amounts. It was the fault of Fansrule that many fans were ripped off, but not Christina’s. But on another perspective, fans were notified immediately when the bankruptcy was originally filed and they still chose to do business with that company by buying those tickets. So it serves as a good lesson to always be aware of the company you buy tickets from, especially if its high priced tickets like VIP packages. The following company to do VIP was iloveallaccess and there were absolutely no issues like that one whatsoever. Even when packages were cancelled for European tour, fans were given full refunds or allowed a partial refund and keep their ticket. So not all VIP companies are bad and you don’t have to worry about losing your money as long as you do your homework on a company first. Call their customer service, read fan feedback, whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable with your purchase.

What do VIP packages cost/include? Will they be made available for the BIONIC TOUR?

Bionic tour 2010 VIP package made available through www.iloveallaccess.com Please check the VIP page for full details & additional FAQ regarding VIP. We assume VIP packages will be planned again once the tour is rescheduled and announced, however rather the details, prices and company remains the same is still unknown.

I know VIP packages are sold out for my show but I saw them being sold on another website/ebay. Is this legit?

No this is a scam. Its made very clear on the ILAA both on the FAQ page and the Terms and Conditions the buyer agrees to that packages from ILAA are non transferable, or refundable. The person who bought the tickets must be present at the show and supply photo ID along with paperwork sent to them by ILAA. Packages not matching the person showing up will not be honored. So no matter what you read or no matter what a seller says to you or how legit their site seems, understand these packages will not be honored by ILAA.

How can I meet Christina Aguilera?

Currently the only ways to obtain a M&G for Christina is through VIP Diamond packages by charity auctions, contests or prize raffles at VIP parties. Please see the M&G page for more details!

What happens at a Christina Aguilera Meet & Greet?

Typically anyone possessing a M&G is instructed either upon arrival or when they acquire the M&G (such as VIP) when and where they are to go in order to be taken back stage for the event. Usually takes place after the opening act has finished and while the staff is preparing the stage for Christina’s set. The staff will take you to a location backstage set up for the M&Gs. Staff normally takes any letters, gifts or cards you may have brought to ensure it goes to Christina’s dressing room where she “has dinner and reads over her fan mail from the evening” They explain that you are welcome to hand Christina a gift yourself BUT since she goes right from the M&G to the stage she has to lay it down anyways and it could get lost in the shuffle of backstage activity. So they highly recommend that you give your gifts and letters to them to ensure it doesn’t get lost or damaged. Autographs depend on the show. For Stripped Tour, Christina signed fan items and posters herself. For b2b tour she was in a cream pressed suit and didn’t want to mess it up so hand signed autographs were passed out to M&G line before they met her. The M&G itself is usually very quick. You can to meet her, then the picture is snapped and she tells you to enjoy the show. It doesn’t last more than a minute usually. But although its quick, its well worth it.

Can I meet anyone else at the concert?

Yes! Lucky fans who stayed long enough after the show, got to meet dancers/musicians from the show. Some who had VIP packages, got to see opening acts, and celebrities backstage.

Can I take pictures at the concert?

This depends on venue and artist. Most venues allow digital cameras so long as they are not too large and do not have detachable lenses. However other venues may only allow disposable cameras or camera phones and some are very strict on camera policies and do not allow any picture taking of any kind. Other times it can be an artist who specifically requests no cameras. Bottom line is, there is no harm in contacting the venue or taking a camera with you and asking at the door if its ok. Attempting to sneak cameras in or take pictures when prohibited could result in venue taking your camera from you until after the show or even ejection from the venue so always remember to follow venue policies.

I am too young to work/have bills to pay, why do Christina tickets/VIP packages have to be so expensive?

First of all no one is too young to work. You may be to young to get a job but you are not too young to raise some money. Talk with parents/relatives about what you can do around the house to start a savings for yourself. I am sure they would appreciate that much more than you asking them to buy you the tickets when the time comes up. Chores, yard sales, shoveling snow, mowing lawns, babysitting and many other activities can help you create a good savings. Even if worst case scenario you only save 50 bucks, its still 50 bucks you don’t have to ask the folks for when it comes to tour time. If you are an adult and have tons of bills to pay, there are also good ways to save money but not feel like you are taking a chunk out of your rent money. The fact that the Bionic tour has been postponed til next year and we have an idea on prices makes it all the easier. Rather its asking your bank to take 5/10/20 bucks from each paycheck and deposit into savings, or starting a big change jar or finally doing that garage sale you’ve been swearing to your husband for years now would happen, there are tons of ways to save without blowing your living expense money. As for ticket prices, as long as you are buying from the official ticket seller/VIP package provider your ticket prices are not greatly inflated. You are paying face value for the seat plus a little for profit because it is a business. If you attempt to buy through ticket brokers or ebay, you may be looking at some serious inflated prices. So ALWAYS know the actual face value of the tickets when buying. It helps to avoid getting ripped off.

Never been to a concert what should I take/wear?

CTC always recommends concert goers attend with cash, ID, tickets of course, something to sign and something to sign with such as a sharpie, camera (if allowed) and water or some type of beverage especially if waiting in long lines or going early for some reason. Clothing should always be comfortable BUT in some cases for the height impaired, taller boots (not heels, or wedges or anything that’s going to kill your feet but just comfortable boots) may help you see better. For GA concerts, Sneakers in line and then tall boots in the car to change into just before the doors open can be a real life saver.

Merchandise at the shows can be so expensive, is there any way to find it cheaper?

Yes! Many times after the show, sellers will come out to the parking lot and sometimes you can bargin for merchandise because they would rather sell at a discounted price than cart it back to whereever. So hang around in the parking lot for a bit and you might just get a great deal!

So much great info cheers thanks!
I definitely think boots are a plus in a concert, it does let you get a better at the performer, especially when someone tall is in front of you Mad

I have a question. I looked at your website briefly. I was wondering what would you say is the easiest or best chance at meeting christina? At a tour or at a signing?

That would probably depend on your location. To date, Christina has only done promotional signings in areas like NYC or LA. If you are in that area, it may be easier for you to get a chance to meet her, get something signed and even say a few words. For those not living near those major cities, you would have more luck attempting to meet her at a concert you attend. GoodLuck

I never seem to hear contests on the radio for free tickets or anything to Christina concerts. Does she not ever make any deals like that to give them away?

PostSubject: Re: TOUR Q&A   TOUR Q&A Icon_minitimeSat Aug 27, 2011 10:31 am

I can't really answer that one because I don't live in every area to know rather there have or haven't been contests on a radio station to give away tickets. It probably depends on the venue, the promoter, & the radio station. Sometimes radio stations have promotional deals with certain venues local to them. I know that for each tour there has been ticket giveaways on the official site. But I know that's harder to win because your not just competing with a localized area of people. So its not the most promising but its better than nothing. Hopefully next tour with the official site, facebook, twitter and ape radio they can afford to have multiple ticket giveaways to promote through the different sites.
